chameleon crab

Do you see him (or her)? I love how this little sand crab blends in with the varied shades of brown and tan broken shells. We met each other on one of my morning walks along the beach in San Agustinillo, Mexico, a favorite winter vacation spot. I’m sure I was shell collecting when we spotted each other. (I see several little shells in this image that I would have likely picked up to bring home for my collection.) I’ve posted other photos from San A’ on this blog: orange sky, pink hibiscus, toward the light, sky palm, painted clouds, afternoon glow, and timo.
