fragrant light

I just love the way the sun is lighting up this beautiful magnolia blossom. I took this photo in Verbania, Italy, along Lago Maggiore. Jim and I were walking into town for dinner in the late afternoon and this flower called out: ‘look at me! look at me!’ My mother-in-law loved magnolias so they hold a special place in my heart – and I felt her presence all the way over there in Italia! I feel so fortunate to have captured this beautiful bloom.
