Ah, my heart floods with joy when I see this photo taken in 2011. Jim and I had just begun our 2-week vacation in Turkey, in Dalyan where we stayed at Otel Kano, the quaint little hotel owned by a friend’s friend. This is our perch at the edge of the Dalyan River with nuts, olives, cold beer, ruins, and a gorgeous sunset. (A bonus photo below shows the ruins located on the opposite side of the river – and the pretty boats that carry tourists from town to the sea.)
