One year, to our surprise, a mallard duck couple flew into our back yard and landed under the bird feeder. We thought it a bit odd. Well, they must have checked zillow before their arrival…they made a nest in the overgrowth of our day lilies and one day, we had a bunch of ducklings wandering around the yard. Ultimately Mama moved them all somewhere outside of our fenced in yard, although we enjoyed them while they were here. Some bonus photos below.
