This was an “accidental” photo, taken in the town of Caltigirone on the island of Sicily, Italy. I went to take a photo of the grand staircase (the Scala), with it’s lovely hand-made tiles leading up to the Cathedral, when my husband Jim cut across to look in a shop on the other side. I quite like it! A nice shot of his favorite shoes, too! I’ve included a bonus photo of a ceramic piece that was sitting outside one of the many ceramic shops along the staircase.
