Cappadocia

Ah, this image takes me back…a beautiful clear early morning, awakening in a room with my other women travel-mates, anticipating this hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, Turkey. It was 10 years ago now (when I was on my IBM Corporate Service Corps assignment with 9 other professionals from around the world providing pro bono consulting services in Gaziantep, Turkey), yet I still remember how alive I felt, how magical it was to be floating over this amazing and wild landscape. I’ve included a few bonus photos from that day. Other posts featuring all things Turkish include: Library of Celsus at Ephasus, Simits for sale | gypsy girl | yüzen tekneler | soğuk bira efes | blue mosque.
