In the summer of 2018, Jim and I went to Sicily, staying mostly on the eastern side of the island. We stayed a couple of nights in the Vendicari Reserve and found ourselves driving around exploring beaches. To get to Spiaggia Marinelli, we hiked through some fields for about a half a mile and then through some scrappy sands to arrive at a beautiful, deserted beach with crystal clear water. What a lovely way to while away an afternoon! Bonus photo below is of the beach.
